In a press release, MSI officially announced that the BIOS update for 400 series motherboards, which will introduce support for the new AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors announced on October 8, will be available from January 2021.

The update will cover all of its 400 series motherboards, including the X470 and B450 MAX and non-MAX series. Unfortunately, the 300 series motherboards, including the X370 and A320, will not bea> able to support the new processors, as confirmed by AMD itself. Should this change in the future, MSI has assured that it will return to develop new BIOS for those platforms as well.
