Xbox Series X: Availability issues will leave many players with a dry mouth
Despite the various doubts that a rather large slice of gamers continue to try against a Next-Gen that for many is not as bright as it should, by now we all know very well that being able to find one of the new upcoming consoles for Day-One - regardless of whether you are talking about PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X / S - it has become a simply impossible task. All stocks seem to have run out, some retailers have started reservations for 2021 and crazy auctions have already appeared on the web to grab the reservation of the new hardware at three times its original value.

At present it is difficult to understand whether the situation that arose was due to a too high demand from the public or a too small amount of stocks, but the music does not change; many users who would have wanted to appear at Next-Gen will have to wait longer than originally expected. Apparently, however, it would seem that even those who have booked one of the Microsoft machines well in advance should be careful. The retailer ShopTo, a reference point for the United Kingdom but also very well known internationally, is in fact communicating to many of its customers that the Xbox Series X reservation will not allow them to receive the console on Day-One due to stocks. too small. In particular, in the message you can read:

Microsoft Store is sending out emails to people who couldn't complete preorders through Xbox All Access. A limited number of Xbox Series S / X will be available in a 72-hour window to these users, more details in a follow up email on or before Oct 19th pic.twitter.com/CI3cv6WLL6

"Microsoft has sent us all the details regarding the allocation of its consoles and, unfortunately, we are sorry to inform you that we will not be able to respect the Day-One". However, the retailer has advised against all interested parties to cancel the order, given that Microsoft could still replenish stocks before launch to allow everyone to get their own console, but at present this seems more like a hope than a certainty. The Redmond company is obviously trying to run for cover to speed up the production of consoles and thus allow as many gamers as possible to get one, but the situation still appears rather nebulous.

In these last hours, in fact , a new announcement has been released on the Microsoft Store which confirms the arrival of additional Xbox Series X for October 19, which, however, can only be ordered for a total of 72 hours and, above all, cannot be purchased in Italy. The only way to take advantage of the new console range - at least in the shores of the Microsoft Store - will in fact be to make the purchase through Xbox All Access, a sort of "subscription" through which you will get an Xbox Series X / S and the Game Pass Ultimate for a price of 34.99 or 24.99 dollars per month, depending on the chosen console, a purchase methodology not made available on Italian soil.

Despite the difficulties in finding it over the past few weeks, we remind you that Xbox Series S is currently still available for pre-order on Amazon.
