Monster Hunter the movie: first official trailer, release and details on the story
Monster Hunter the film was shown in the first official trailer, released in these hours by Sony Pictures and evidently set on a rather trashy style, from what is possible to see in these few seconds, but from which we learn something about the release in theaters and about the story.

There hasn't been much news on the Monster Hunter movie since that first image of Milla Jovovich with double blades, which already bode a little for the general mood, but we can finally have some confirms with this first teaser trailer.

It is still early to make evaluations, but based on what is possible to see it seems that the Monster Hunter movie drops the characteristics of the videogame series in a more realistic context, with Jovovich and other characters, chosen soldiers, who find themselves catapulted to fight against gigantic monsters.

Meanwhile, we see the Black Diablos in action, just to start off on the right foot. A few details about the film and its history also emerge from the description of the trailer on YouTube:

Beyond our world, there is another: a world of powerful and dangerous monsters that dominate their kingdom with deadly ferocity. When a sandstorm transports Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and his team (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, soldiers find themselves discovering this hostile and unknown environment, home to huge and terrifying monsters. immune to firearms.

In their desperate struggle for survival, the unit encounters a mysterious hunter (Tony Jaa), whose unique abilities allow him to overwhelm the most powerful creatures. As Artemis and the hunter begin to collaborate and trust each other, it is revealed that the latter is part of a team led by Admiral (Ron Perlman). Faced with a danger so great that it could threaten to destroy their world, these brave warriors decide to combine their unique skills to collaborate and fight towards the final confrontation.

The Monster Hunter film will hit theaters in December, so the risk of postponement to 2021 that emerged a few months ago seems to have been averted.
