Harley Davidson's first electric bike

It looks like a motorcycle and is expected on the market next spring

eBike-Harley The Harley Davidson, the American company founded in 1901 in Milwaukee by two childhood friends William Silvester Harley and Arthur Davidson, after the motorcycle Livewire, and the announcement of the future battery-powered scooter, which will be released in 2021-2022, officially enters the ebike sector.

And the first product bears the name of the first historic model of the house: the Serial Numer One, released in 1903. The information on this ebike are few but from an aesthetic point of view it looks very similar to one of the three prototypes presented in the last edition of EICMA.

The shapes are classic and clean and are inspired by the "old" Serial 1. The engine was positioned in the center and is powered by a battery that is "drowned" inside the metal structure of the frame. Disc brakes, belt drive and Brooks leather saddle (material also used for the grip strips) complete the Serial 1 specifications. The lighting system is integrated directly into the frame, as are all cables. , a clear sign that the American company has paid particular attention to aesthetic cleanliness.

Serial 1 was developed by a satellite team of the American company, called Serial 1 Cycle Company, and its release on the market is expected in the spring of 2021. Harley does not want to miss the opportunity to enter a market estimated at over $ 15 billion in 2019, with an expected growth of over 6% from 2020 to 2025.
