Yashahime - confirmed the number of episodes
Yashahime, the sequel to the cult Inuyasha, started last week in Japan and around the world including Italy where it is available thanks to the Crunchyroll streaming platform. Sifting through the pages of the various streaming services on which the anime was licensed, we learned that the first season of Yashahime will consist of 24 episodes.

Hanyo no Yashahime

The staff of Yashahime, produced from Sunrise, it will be the same as the original: Teruo Sato as director; Katsuyuki Sumisawa on the screenplay (Inuyasha, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing); Rumiko Takahashi and Yoshihito Hishinuma (Yakitate !! Japan, City Hunter) to character design; Kaoru Wada (3 × 3 Eyes, Battle Angel, The File of Young Kindaichi) to the music.

The synopsis:

In Feudal Japan, the half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna separate during a forest fire; Desperate for her sister, Towa ends up in a mysterious tunnel that transports her to modern-day Japan where she is found and raised by Sota Higurashi, Kagome's brother, and his family. Ten years later the tunnel reopens and allows Towa to reunite with Setsuna, who now works as a demon slayer for Kohaku. However Setsuna seems to have lost all memory of her sister. They are joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, for an adventure through the two eras in search of memories of the past.

Inuyasha

Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi was published from 1996 to 2008 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and then collected in 56 volumes published in Italy by Edizioni Star Comics in two editions. From the manga was taken a 167 anime series that aired from 2000 to 2004 and a sequel series, entitled Inuyasha The Final Act, of 26 episodes between 2009 and 2010.

Inuyasha's anime is was broadcast in Italy by MTV starting from 2001 in the legendary "Anime Night" and subsequently it was proposed for the home video market by Dynit.

Here is the synopsis of Inuyasha:

Kagome is a normal student who attends the eighth grade. He lives in an ancient Shinto temple with his mother, little brother Souta and grandfather. On her fifteenth birthday, Kagome falls into the well of her home and is brought back 500 years to the Sengoku era! Here he will meet Kaede, an old priestess of a village, who immediately notices the similarity of the girl with a priestess who lived 50 years earlier: Kikyo, the keeper of the legendary Shikon Sphere. Soon after, a centipede demon tries to kill Kagome and she, to escape him, refuses in the woods where she meets Inu Yasha…
