Ultra-broadband: the notice of the School Plan
The Infratel website (which will soon welcome new details on the 500 euro Bonus) today saw the publication of the call for tenders launched by the Ministry of Economic Development for the supply of ultra-broadband connectivity in Italian schools. A total of 273.92 million euros are made available.

The announcement to bring ultra-broadband to schools

In the table below, the seven lots that make up the announcement destined respectively for Liguria and Piedmont, Lombardy, Lazio and Sardinia, Campania and Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily, Tuscany and Veneto, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia. The remaining regions, as established by COBUL (Ultra Broadband Committee), will implement the Plan through their own in-house companies on the basis of a conventional relationship with the MiSE. Further details are available on the Infratel Italia website.

Each competitor in the tender can win a maximum of two lots, a stake set to protect competition and with the desire to speed up the implementation phase . Particularly severe penalties are also provided for each day of delay, for failure to activate the connection of a school and in the event of non-compliance with other contractual provisions so as to discourage non-compliant conduct. These are the words of Eleonora Fratesi, President of Infratel Italia.

The start of the tender, two weeks after the publication of the decree by Minister Stefano Patuanelli attributing the measure, demonstrates the great commitment that the employees and collaborators of Infratel Italia are putting into the country's restart path. Equipping schools with ultra-broadband connections is a priority and the competition rules, put in place reflect the need for acceleration given by the Government to the School Plan.
