Half-Life 2: the coveted Unreal Engine 4 remake in a video
Specifically, Ivan Fernandez used Unreal Engine 4 to reconstruct the iconic Piazza of Half-Life 2 and explained it in a video posted on his YouTube channel, which we report below so that you too can admire the excellent result of his work. The 3D Artist managed to recreate the atmosphere of the game, presenting us a video full of details and accompanied by very suggestive music, also informing the user that to recreate the square in front of the City 17 railway station of Half Life 2 he used the Quixel megascans for floors and walls, mainly using Substance Painters.
Ivan Fernandez's work has been highly appreciated by users on the web, so much so that it is defined as the best remake ever seen so far, as the 3D Artist is was perfectly able to maintain the art style and atmosphere of the original version, revisiting the game's graphics with better patterns, effects and textures. Unfortunately, this fan remake has not been released to the public, but it is not excluded that in the future Fernandez may share a download link if he gets the chance. In fact, we are not really talking about an official remake or remastering and, in this regard, it is unlikely that Valve will allow third-party developers to create such a project.
Fernandez's, however, is in effect a dream shared by many gamers who at the moment thank him for the images and videos provided, as he is able to rekindle a flame in the hearts of many fans, hopeful in the one day to see a well-deserved sequel to this videogame masterpiece.
