The Unique and Insuperable Ivan, preview review
Take the latest live action that populated the big (and small) screen (God bless the streaming), and bring together the various protagonists of these films in one single film. We are in a circus, far from the dark and difficult atmosphere of Tim Burton's Dumbo, populated by animals that here have a facial expression and an expression far removed from that of The Lion King of 2019. In short, the result is really good and we have observed him closely in the new Disney film L'Unico e Insuperabile Ivan will debut in Italy on 11 September exclusively on the Disney + streaming platform and premiered on Tuesday 18 August at the Giffoni Film Festival. The backstory of a "bestial" star

Arrived on the screen in an evocative mix of live-action and CGI, we were spectators of a film based on the award-winning book by Katherine Applegate, based on a true story that has won numerous awards since its publication in 2013, including the Newbery Medal, and is published in Italy by Mondadori. The Unique and Insuperable Ivan is an unforgettable story about the beauty of friendship, the power of imagination and the meaning of the place called home.

The protagonist, Ivan, is none other than a 180kg gorilla who he shares his cage in a suburban mall with Stella the elephant, Bob the dog and many other animals, all different from each other. Let us not forget that this "great gentle giant", to quote Roald Dahl, is also the star of the shows: from the limelight that sees him in the guise of a frightening beast, to the cages in the background where he returns to be a good-natured fraternal with the his companions.
