Rogue Nostalgia Gameplay Certainties and Doubts Before we curse the heavens and the earth, let's see some raw data. During the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2020, the Turrican Anthology for PS4 and Nintendo Switch was announced, a collection of Turrican released on 16-bit systems (8-bit platforms were completely ignored), divided into two volumes, both available only from the official store of the publisher Strictly Limited Games for a minimum of € 34.99 each, if we do not consider the editions for collectors of € 99 and € 199 (which include both volumes).

It is also interesting to examine how the games were divided between the two volumes, because it makes us understand the rationale of the entire operation. Before commenting though, let's read:

Rogue Nostalgia

Don't you notice anything strange? We will explain it to you. The 16-bit versions of Turrican have been released on three different platforms: Amiga, Super Nintendo and Mega Drive. The potential audience of this collection is not the modern gamer, but the nostalgic old man who immediately has a myocardial infarction when he reads the word Turrican, which however does not prevent him from pressing the "buy" button.
