Xbox Series X is Gamescom 2020's most desired technology
Xbox Series X won the prize as the most desired technology of Gamescom 2020, the digital fair that closed this weekend in Germany and which took the place of the largest fair in the sector in Europe, the Gamescom indeed.

The award went to Microsoft's next-generation console for being "the most powerful console in history," but also for innovative services like xCloud and Game Pass.

To receive the award , of course remotely, was Jason Ronald, the head of development of Xbox Series X. Ronald is obviously happy with this prestigious award and said that the console was designed to ensure a new level of speed, power and compatibility . Microsoft says it has created the console for gamers and is looking forward to showing more of its console soon.

The award, however, has sparked more than one ironic comment on the internet, with people who wondered why PS5 not only didn't win the award, but wasn't even nominated.

The answer is actually simple: Sony hasn't sent any PS5s to Gamescom. Giving the jurors a chance to touch the technology in the competition first hand is one of the fundamental requirements for being able to access the nominations. For this reason, PlayStation 5 could not even be considered. Xbox Series X, on the other hand, in addition to being delivered to CD Projekt RED, is already in the hands of several people, which gave it the opportunity not only to be included among the nominations, but to win the award as the most coveted technology of the fair.
