Asistencia COVID-19: the Spanish Immuni app without contact-tracing
What can we do in a situation like this? This is the question that most of us have been asking since last March a state of alarm was declared in much of Europe to manage the situation of health crisis caused by COVID-19.

In a context that has seen the virus spread faster both in Italy and in Spain and Europe become “the initial epicenter of the pandemic”, according to the WHO. Precisely for this reason 3 pioneering companies in the field of technology have decided to team up to develop a COVID-19 monitoring app that can help control the pandemic in Spain.

ForceManager, in collaboration with CARTO and Mendesaltaren , was involved in the development of the app called Asistencia Covid19, in coordination with the Autonomous Community of Madrid, thanks also to the support of companies such as Telefónica, Ferrovial and Google.

Asistencia COVID-19, available in record time

Asistencia COVID-19, the official self-diagnosis app, is available: the pilot project of the app under the name CoronaMadrid was carried out in the Autonomous Community of Madrid and then expanded throughout Spain.

Asistencia COVID-19, developed in record time, offers citizens a platform with direct information on how to act in the event of symptoms in order to decongest the collapsing help lines. This is therefore a very different approach from Immuni app developed to trace contacts by implementing "contact tracing".

In addition to ForceManager, under the guidance of Oscar Macia, CEO of the company, a team of developers participated in the project (Álvaro González, Roger Sala, Daniel Balastegui, Jordi Gandía, Jose Company and Alejandro Company) who have worked hard to perfect the mobility part of the app.
