One UI 3.0 and Android 11, public beta coming soon for the Samsung Galaxy S20 range
We were already aware that Samsung was working on developing its One UI 3.0 interface based on Android 11 for the Galaxy S20 family smartphones. The private beta testing program has been underway for some time already, however it seems that now Samsung is finally ready to make a first taste of the new update publicly available.

Through a post published by one of the Community Managers of the 'Korean company within Samsung Members, a platform accessible via the application dedicated to Samsung smartphone users, the imminent arrival of the Android 11 public beta test program for Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Official dates for the availability of the One UI 3.0 update have not yet been announced but we already know that the initial testing phase will only affect South Korea. It is very likely, as it has already happened in the past, that at a later time the availability of the non-definitive version of the firmware will also reach other regions such as the USA and Germany, thus allowing Samsung to collect further information necessary for the improvement of its software before diffusion. of downloads on a global scale.

The new software update based on Android 11 will bring improvements to the camera, especially as regards autofocus and stabilization, improvements that are certainly welcome on smartphones in the Galaxy S20 lineup. Samsung will also implement the trash function for the Messages application. Other new features include the ability to add a widget to the home screen by long pressing on the app icon and selecting it. Finally, users will be able to lock the screen by double tapping an empty area of the home screen, although there are certainly many other innovations that we will discover with the opening of the beta program to the public.

Users who have decided to buy, however, one of the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 must not despair: usually the beta versions of the operating system updates coming on the Galaxy of the "S" range arrive only after a few weeks also on the devices of the "Note" range. So very little is missing from the first taste of Android 11 and the new version of Samsung's proprietary interface on all top-of-the-range devices from the Korean company.
