To give the confirmation of this news was thought by none other than the CEO of the company Pete Lau who with his profile on the Chinese social network Weibo, Liu Zuohu, decided to silence possible rumors. Lau invited users looking for a "Pro level" smartphone to move towards the purchase of OnePlus 8 Pro, as that will remain the only top of the range of the company for this year.
After all, after the launch of the OnePlus 7T Pro variant which did not offer major improvements over the OnePlus 7 Pro, the company had been a bit criticized and probably did not want to repeat the same experience. Presenting a new product on the market that does not bring with it big news just to be able to say that you have a new device in the catalog, is not a strategy that is liked by users who are more linked to the origins of the brand and the old market strategy than the company was carrying on.
