ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN is ready to put the new GPUs to the test
In a press release, Asus officially announced the ROG Swift PG259QN 360Hz, the fastest consumer gaming monitor ever made by any company. With full support for frame rates up to 360fps, the device will arrive in September and will feature a 24.5 ”FullHD“ Fast IPS ”screen with a 1ms response time, G-Sync compatibility and HDR10 support.

The best gaming monitors right now offer between 144Hz and 240Hz, although there are some expensive 300Hz options. 360Hz is a very high refresh rate, even if the resolution is limited to just 1080p and the display size is certainly not generous. Although Asus has not yet announced an official price yet, it will certainly be necessary to shell out several euros more than other 280Hz products such as the Asus TUF Gaming VG279QM. Without considering the fact that we will need a video card as powerful as the upcoming RTX 3090 to achieve high enough performance to take advantage of 360Hz.

At such high frame rates, it will also be a question of whether people will be able to perceive the difference compared to other models equipped with "slower" panels. But if you're a fan of fast-paced competitive shooters where even a single split second counts, then ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN 360Hz will be perfect for your needs. In addition to a high refresh rate, the monitor offers three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort compatibility and integrated software to add viewfinders, timers and other information to the screen.
