PS5 and Xbox Series X: only next-gen exclusives are the same

PS5 and Xbox Series X: only next-gen exclusives are the same
After the announcements of the PS5 event it emerged that many of the titles for Sony's new console will be cross-gen. So, doing a quick tally, PS5's next-gen-only exclusives currently are roughly equivalent to Xbox Series X's.

By next-gen exclusives we mean all those titles that have been announced only for Xbox Series X and PS5, so without Xbox One and PS4 versions. Of course we have not considered the PC, which is a story in itself. We have also included the time exclusives, which we have underlined by writing them in italics. As a result, there are currently 12 next-gen-only games announced for PS5 and 10 for Xbox Series X. With the former having five time exclusives and the latter two. If we remove the latter from the count, we have an 8 to 7 for Xbox Series X.

So let's see the lists of next-gen exclusives announced so far for Xbox Series X and PS5 (the temporal ones in italics).

PS5: next-gen only exclusives Astro's Playroom Deathloop Demon's Souls Remake Destruction AllStars Final Fantasy 16 GhostWire: Tokyo God of War 2 Godfall Gran Turismo 7 Project Athia Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Returnal Xbox Series X: exclusive only next-gen Avowed Everwild Fable Forza Motorsport The Medium Scorn Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 STALKER 2 State of Decay 3 Warhammer 40,000: Darktide According to the numbers, it seems that that of PS5 as the console with more exclusive next-gen Xbox Series X, at least in the first years of the life of both, was just a legend. After all, just last night it was learned that not only Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, but also Horizon Forbidden West and Sackboy are cross-gen titles.
