Meet Now: so Windows 10 will challenge Zoom and Meet
Among the next news coming to Windows 10 there could be a new feature called Meet Now: a potential trump card from Microsoft. It is currently in the testing phase (in build 20211) and it is not known if it will make its official debut in the stable release of the platform. But it deserves to be reported and explained.

Windows 10: Meet Now to beat Meet and Zoom

The undeclared goal is to gnaw market share to third-party alternatives such as Zoom and Meet which in recent months have seen their popularity grow dramatically thanks to the large-scale adoption of solutions for smart working, distance learning and remote communication. What Meet Now does is place an icon in the systray, in the shape of a camera, which once selected shows the options "Create a meeting" ("Create a meeting") and "Join a meeting" ("Join a meeting" ). The screenshots attached to this article are those originally published by the editors of the Windows Latest site.

The first of the two generates a unique code and a link to share with other meeting participants, while the second asks for the input of those received.

Once ready to start the communication, if the user has installed Skype the software is opened automatically, otherwise the video call takes the away in a browser window. Curiously, the source of the news makes no reference to Teams.
