Dark Crystal - The Resistance: Netflix cancels Jim Henson series
The prequel TV series to The Dark Crystal, a cult film from the 1980s directed by Jim Henson, yes will conclude with season one and will explore no further adventures of the peoples of Thra.

The first season of Dark Crystal - The resistance was made up of 10 episodes of about an hour and is the scene of the events that led the Gelfling people to rise up against the tyranny of the Skeksis. The Gelfling rebellion will start gradually, following tensions and shocking revelations that will unmask the benevolent facade of the Skeksis.
The series was made entirely in an almost analog way, with the use of puppets and some special visual effects. With this production the Jim Henson Company was able to raise the technical level of puppet and model making like never before.
For the first season, 20 main and 90 secondary puppets were used, which required the '' use of expert puppeteers, able both to operate directly on the puppets, and to make them move at a distance thanks to the use of a modified Wiimote remote control.
The technical level of realization of the series was also supported by a stellar original cast. In the original language version, the dubbing of the show involved actors such as Taron Egerton (Rian), Anya Taylor-Joy (Brea), Helena Bonham Carter (Maudra Mayrin), Simon Pegg (SkekSil), Awkwafina (SkekLach), Benedict Wong (SkekVar ) and Mark Hamill (SkekTek).
