The incredible Russian eight-wheel drive ambulance

The Avtoros Shaman, an off-road "beast" weighing over 4800 kg able to move with ease even in the most inaccessible terrain, has been converted to provide assistance

Avtoros Shaman The Avtoros Shaman is a Russian off-road vehicle eight-wheel drive equipped with as many low-pressure tires that make it a perfect vehicle for moving with a certain ease even in the most inaccessible terrain and in the most difficult conditions.

Equipped with a 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine from the Iveco capable of delivering 145 hp and 350 Nm of maximum torque, coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox, is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 70 km / h. Thanks to the structure of the chassis and body, the Avtoros Shaman can also move in water up to a maximum speed of 7 km / h, using the propulsion of a propeller.

The tonnage is a record: 4800 kg weight, 6.3 meters long and 2.5 wide, as well as a maxi 260-liter tank that ensures a mileage of 1000 km.

Cleared by an episode of the Top Gear transmission that went into aired a few years ago, and used at home by eccentric and wealthy people, the Avtoros Shaman was converted into an ambulance. The preparation of this particular set-up took place thanks to the contribution of another Russian company.

Being dedicated to emergency services, surgical lighting, cabinets for storing medical equipment were installed, up to four seats for paramedics and accommodation for up to two patients. There is clearly no lack of lights, sirens and a specific body color.

On paper, it's clearly a project too, and everything, however, in the vast territory of Russia, characterized by abundant mountainous areas, may be used in lieu of the helicopter which is expensive both to buy, and which to keep. Also, of course, the Avtoros Shaman is far from cheap, given that using the online configurator is very easy to exceed the 200 thousand euros .
