LEGO 71374 - Nintendo Entertainment System, review

LEGO 71374 - Nintendo Entertainment System, review
It was 1985 when Nintendo revolutionized the then nascent world of home gaming by launching one of the most popular consoles ever, the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). Generations of video game enthusiasts have formed on that wonderful game machine, who still carry endless hours of challenges in their hearts for the most demanding levels of Super Mario Bros or Metroid. An icon that after being celebrated with a mini version that brings back some of the essential features of the console, is now further consecrated thanks to the LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System set.

The care with which LEGO has launched into this operation is commendable. While the square design of the NES lent itself perfectly to the angularity typical of colored bricks, the genius of the LEGO designers went further. The LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System set does not just offer us the chance to build our vintage console, but allows us to accompany it to a television of the time, small in size but with a pleasant surprise.

The three LEGO Designers Daire McCabe, Pablo Gonzalez and Leon Pijenburg, in fact, not only wanted to re-propose the charm of the NES, but to offer those who would have assembled the LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System the right mood to feel again in 1985.

A box full of emotions

Reason why there are two manuals inside the LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System package, one for the console and one for the TV. The 2646 bricks that make up this set are collected in 25 bags, whose numbers allow you to assemble the two components of the LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System set in the order you prefer. For passion, in our editing we started with the real protagonist of this set: the NES console.
