Parks open in Orlando even in full covid emergency

Parks open in Orlando even in full covid emergency
The coronavirus emergency in the United States continues and shows no sign of slowing down. In California the opening of the amusement parks, originally scheduled for July, will not take place. Disney also had to change its plans. Both parks in California will continue to remain closed until a later date.

But not all states have adopted a hard line. This is the case of Florida, which in recent days continues to register thousands of cases per day, for a total that has reached 282,000 infected. All Universal parks in Orlando have been open for a month, while the Walt Disney World complex is also reopening these days. Nobody hints at taking a step back, the parks will continue to remain open, small and large. For example, even those of the Sea World group in Orlando will not close again, but have limited themselves to slightly reshaping the calendar.

Given the situation, the parks could have been expected to be open, but empty. In reality, this is not what is happening. For Disney World it is still too early to be able to make statistics, as it has only been open for a few days, instead at Universal Studios the queues are much lower than in normal times, but the parks are far from empty, with times of waiting that they frequently reach thirty minutes on the main attractions. It is good to point out that in all parks the rules on spacing, cleaning as well as the mandatory nature of the mask are strictly enforced, but the risk always remains, because unfortunately there is and there will always be those who do not respect the letter l obligation to wear it for the duration of the visit.

Other parks around the world have adopted a more cautious approach. This is the case in Hong Kong where, following the increase in the number of infections, Hong Kong Disneyland immediately closed the gates.
