Vivaldi: the Break Mode to take a break

Vivaldi: the Break Mode to take a break
Those who have been experimenting with smart working in recent months have realized that, unlike what happens when leaving the office desk, it is not always easy to disconnect from one's professional commitments: working in the home environment, the risk is to go beyond hours and always stay connected. One of the innovations introduced by the Vivaldi navigation software, the Break Mode, responds precisely to this need.

Vivaldi 3.3 introduces the Break Mode

With the update to version 3.3 of the browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux add the Pause button to the status bar. Pressing it (or with the keyboard combination Ctrl +.) Immediately stops the playback of all audio and video elements, the tabs are hidden as well as the panels and other displayed elements. To pick up exactly where you left off, all you need to do is click on Play.

This is not the only novelty introduced by the update: there are also a new default theme for the Private Window, now the URLs shown in the address bar are partly clickable and there are improvements in both the tracking block and the advertising block introduced in April with the debut of the 3.0 release.
