Iwatani Naofumi, a common otaku, finds a book in the library that transports it to another world, He is given the task of joining sword, spear and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes to fight the Catas trophies such as Hero of the Shield. Excited by the idea of a great adventure, Naofumi joins the group. However, a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity and respect. In Italy the light novels of the Aneko Yusagi series with illustrations by Minami Seira are still unpublished while J-POP is publishing the manga adaptation signed by Aiya Kyū of which only the 16th and last volume released in Japan last July 20.
