Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, what happened to it?
What happened to them ... is a regular column that tries to bring to light those franchises that for one reason or another have fallen by the wayside, telling their story, with the hope of seeing them again sooner or later on our screens.

A shrewd and lethal thief, Tepeu, a centennial mythological creature with great powers, Majin: a strange couple united to seek the cause of a dark evil, Darkness, a black and viscous liquid that has made inhospitable and deadly the different regions of the world, and put an end to its existence to restore prosperity. It is from this incipit that Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom draws inspiration to give life to an interesting hybrid between platform, puzzle game and action adventure, with a style very close to that of Ico, which due to some technical and structural problems was unable to get that green stamp from the press, which otherwise he would have amply deserved.

A thief and his puppy

As we noted at the time of the review, a frame rate is not always stable, the 'excessive presence of back-tracking mechanics and a consequent heavy phenomenon of opponents' respawn, which in the long run was really annoying, were the causes of the lack of success of the game. If on the one hand the central core of the product was all there, on the other it lacked a certain refinement in some elements such as to partially limit the great potential of the title.
