Daniel Cherry is DC's new General Manager
After what will remain in the annals as the most difficult week at Warner Bros. and DC with that wave of layoffs that the American press had even come to define as a "massacre" and the feast of the virtual DC FanDome convention that had brought smiles and serenity to fans and executives, late yesterday the inauguration of Daniel Cherry, the new General Manager of DC, was made official.

This is a completely new position created ad hoc after the profound restructuring which, as we all know, involved the publishing house. Cherry will work alongside Jim Lee who remains both Chief Creator Officer and Publisher and both will report to Pamela Lifford, Global Brands and Experience President.

It was rumored several times that this new figure that DC would introduce would come from the world of esports and in fact it did. Daniel Cherry was in fact for three years the Chief Marketing Officer of Activision Blizzard's esports division. Previously Cherry worked with the professional teams of the New Jersey Devil and New York Cosmos and was Vice President of Consumer Planning & Research for DIAGEO NA from 2011 to 2015, Managing Partner & Director of Brand Strategy of Anomaly working on brands such as Converse, Umbro , Cole Haan, Budweiser and Motorola. He has worked with Wieden + Kennedy for brands such as Nike, Jordan and ESPN. In fact, his is the Nike advertising campaign of 2017 nominated for the Grammy for the song "Classic" (Better Than I've Ever Been) with Kanye West, Nas, Rakim and KRS-One.

But what exactly will the homework of Daniel Cherry?
