The upgrade was therefore "withdrawn" by the publisher, putting things back as they were before but highlighting a big flaw in the official communication relating to the Ultimate Edition of Control, the only one to guarantee the free update to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions.
In responding to the inevitable controversies that followed his choice, 505 Games has in fact tried to justify his decision by talking about unspecified technical limitations.
What has happened in the past few hours, however, shows that there are no problems like that and it will be interesting to see if the company wants to intervene on the matter to explain what really happened.
