Paradox Interactive buys Iceflake Studios the Surviving the Aftermath studio

Paradox Interactive has announced that it has acquired the Finnish studio of Iceflake Studios. The developer of Surviving the Aftermath becomes the label's ninth studio primarily known for its strategy games.

Iceflake Studios is a studio based in Tampere, Finland. It was founded in 2007 and has games for consoles, PCs and currently also projects for VR and mobile devices. His successes include Surviving the Aftermath, Ice Lakes and Race Arcade.

The co-founder of the studio Lasse Liljedahl said he appreciated Paradox's open mind and thanks to the excellent collaboration for Surviving the Aftermath the decision was easier to make.

Paradox COO Charlotta Nilsson said that the Iceflake Studios portfolio was perfectly complementary to that of Paradox and for this reason the acquisition was natural.
