Editions Star Comics announces two delicious new manga
The first is a title that needs no introduction: WEATHERING WITH YOU, a comic adaptation of the spectacular animated film champion box office in 2019, written and directed by the great master Makoto Shinkai.
This exciting and touching three-volume miniseries sees the talented Wataru Kubota in the drawings, and will arrive in Italy from November 2020.
During the summer of his first year in high school, the young Hokada escapes from the remote native island to take refuge in the sprawling Tokyo, where, however, he soon ends up forced to sleep on the street and face a daily hardship and hardship. When he finally finds work for a small occult magazine, he is hired to create a piece on the legend of the "serene priestesses", mysterious figures who are said to be able to change the weather conditions simply through prayer. The second publication is the surprising and delicate manga SAVAGE SEASON, signed by the beloved screenwriter and director Mari Okada, author of masterpieces such as Ano hana, and considered one of the rising stars in the world of manga and anime thanks to its extraordinary ability to reach the hearts of fans.
SAVAGE SEASON is the first comic written by the Sensei. Serialized in 2016 in the magazine "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" from the publisher Kodansha, deals with the issue of the discovery of sexuality in a delicate, tender and a bit ironic, but definitely very original. In 2019 it was a popular anime series, and it has recently been announced that is in production is also an adaptation to live action.
During the usual meeting of the club of the literature of the school, in which are used to read classic novels aloud, the five young girls in flower, the protagonists of the story find themselves in front of a step that is particularly “hot”. From that moment, troubled and emotionally scombussolate, the girls begin to talk among themselves of sex, that it slowly becomes one of their main topics of conversation, and towards which their curiosity gradually becomes more morbid. Thus begins their sentimental initiation, a path of growth that, among misunderstandings and paradoxical situations – will take step after step towards adulthood.
