Dacia Spring could be the first really cheap electric

(Photo: Dacia) There is a car highly anticipated for 2021 and its name is Dacia Spring. The historic Romanian brand is in fact engaged in the last phase of preparation of an electric car that will be destined for the entry market with an affordable price and characterized by perfect dimensions for city travel.

From the latest rumors it seems confirmed that the images of the Dacia concept that appeared a few months ago would correspond precisely to the Spring design study, which will also resume the lines of Renault City K-Ze, another low-cost electric car destined for the Chinese market.

Dacia Spring it will be a compact model with a length of just 3.78 meters by 1.58 meters in width and 1.48 in height, ideal for moving in a metropolitan environment and for short trips and transfers. It goes without saying that the battery will not be exceptionally large and will in fact guarantee just 200 km of autonomy, framing the city target with even more evidence.

The color in which he appeared winks even to a young audience with the dominant gray and hints in orange. Full led projectors on two levels on the front and four full led headlights on the rear can also be reported.

There are still no precise details on the engine and components, but the basic philosophy is that of Dacia Spring can guarantee very simple use and low maintenance. If the second point is inherent in the nature of pure electric, the first suggests that there should not be too much space for autonomous driving or parking systems and minimalist multimedia.

How much will it cost? Difficult to resume the assessment, chinese Renault City K-Ze that you can buy at around € 10,000 , but not expected to climb too, going also to enjoy the various incentives that can regularly bring down the final cost.
