Mafia: Definitive Edition 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Tennis World Tour 2 More games to come The PlayStation Store Promotion of the Week updates this week with the usual, ever-present batch of new PS4 games. The most relevant releases are in this case the valuable remake Mafia: Definitive Edition and the new title of Vanillaware, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.

However, as always, the update also includes a whole series of productions maybe less famous but certainly able to satisfy the wishes of the owners of the Sony console. Let's talk for example of CastleStorm II, Tennis World Tour 2 and the frenetic Going Under.

Mafia: Definitive Edition

The long-awaited remake of the classic 2002 Mafia, Mafia: Definitive Edition (39 , 99 euros) can be purchased individually or as part of the Mafia Trilogy package (59.99 euros), which for just 20 euros more also includes the Definitive Edition of the second and third episodes of the series. In short, a proposal that cannot be rejected.

The new edition of the game, completely redesigned, tells the story of Thomas "Tommy" Angelo, a taxi driver from Lost Heaven who ends up joining a mafia family but he soon realizes that he has given up his humanity to obtain luxury and money. Precisely for this reason one day he finds himself with nothing left, to tell the crimes of the clan to a detective to obtain protection for his family.

In addition to new graphics, full of sophisticated effects, and cutscenes shot from scratch with new actors in motion capture, Mafia: Definitive Edition also boasts modernized gameplay, which incorporates the mechanics of Mafia III by completely changing the original interface and also adding a hand-to-hand combat system with some spectacular finishers.

Only aesthetic changes to the Lost Heaven map, freely explorable by car or on foot but far from the concept of modern open world, while on the narrative front a great job has been done, with the cutscenes entirely redone and new interpretations for the characters.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

The new, long-awaited title from Vanillaware, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (€ 59.99) mixes different genres in an original way to tell us about a story of kaiju and giant robots, but also that of a group of young people who interact with each other through five different timelines, following the thread of a fascinating and very complex plot.

When the narration gives way to action, we find ourselves struggling with strategic mechanics in which our pilots will have to put themselves in command of the giant Sentinels and face the huge monsters that want to destroy the planet. The depth of the clashes increases the degree of involvement in the experience, which makes its clear division between Adventure and Battle a peculiar element.

Tennis World Tour 2

Tennis World Tour 2 ( 49.99 euros) is the new episode of the sports series produced by Nacon and entrusted to Big Ant Studios, the authors of AO Tennis: an interesting partnership, which aims to offer a tennis experience that is not only beautiful to look at but also fun to play thanks to a whole series of innovations introduced from a gameplay point of view.

Great attention has been paid to the mechanics related to the service, and although the controls are basically those to which the genre has accustomed us in the course over the years, even the exchanges between players have been rethought in search of greater realism. All this is supported by official licenses and a package of contents capable of guaranteeing a certain substance: tennis fans are warned.

Other games coming out

CastleStorm II (19, 99 euros) the Zen Studios strategic series continues with a new episode that tries to enrich and improve the original formula. Against the backdrop of a fantasy setting, in fact, our mission mission objective will be to use weapons and catapults to destroy the opposing fortress.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw (€ 29.99) instead tries to combine atmospheres from space opera and shooter phases with the most traditional gambling, including dice, slot machines and cards. The rebel outlaw protagonist of the adventure, in short, will try from time to time to invest her money in gambling: will she be lucky enough to make it bear fruit?

Among the releases of the week, Going Under (€ 19.99) is also interesting, the new Team 17 production, characterized by a cartoonish graphic style and a peculiar gameplay. It is in fact a satirical dungeon crawler in which, in the role of an underpaid intern, we will have to explore the ruins of a technological startup in search of hidden treasures among the many pitfalls.

Let's spend a few words also for Budget Cuts ( 24.99 euros with 20% discount for PlayStation Plus subscribers), a virtual reality action game for PlayStation VR that will see us wield a sword and face a series of robotic opponents in what stands as an experience of social complaint: our character is an employee who risks his job.

The Promotion of the Week

The Promotion of the Week is back, this time dedicated to Tom Clancy's The Division 2 with offers on the purchase of three different packages: the standard edition of the game available for just € 5.09 instead of 29.99, the Warlords of New York edition that you can take home for € 14.99 instead of 59.99 or the Warlords of expansion alone New York p er 12.99 euros instead of 29.99.

We have spoken very often about the Ubisoft title, which therefore does not need much introduction. The battle for the future of humanity moves to the streets of Washington D.C. and it will be there that we will have to defend the last stronghold of political power from the attack of the terrorists.

To succeed in the enterprise we will have to put ourselves in the shoes of a Division agent and coordinate our actions with the team, using a large number of different weapons and fundamental gadgets to gain a strategic advantage over the enemy troops, ever more numerous and dangerous.

The Warlords of New York expansion adds further substance to the experience, taking us back to the Big Apple for a decisive new confrontation with its most violent factions, as we hunt down their commanders for regain control of the territory.
