Doom Patrol renewed for a third season
The second day of the DC FanDome that aired yesterday opened with the announcement of the renewal of Doom Patrol for a third season that will debut exclusively on HBO Max at an unspecified time in 2021.

Executive Producer Jeremy Carver thanked Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, DC UNIVERSE and HBO Max on behalf of the cast, crew and writers for the opportunity to return for a new season to Doom Manor.

Sarah Aubrey, HBO Max Head of Original Content, instead pointed out how a series with such a solid and passionate fanbase immediately rose in the preferences of the HBO Originals series on the platform and that therefore it was natural to renew it for a new season that would allow her to continue to tell the story of these characters in a unique way, highly appreciated by audiences and critics alike.

Doom Patrol

The series, based on the homonymous group of reluctants I was i created for DC by Bob Haney and Arnold Drake in 1963 and became popular in the late 1980s thanks to the management of Grant Morrison, it arrived in Italy on Amazon Prime Video.

Doom Patrol Season 2 will arrive on the platform on September 28th.

At the end of the first season Dorothy, the daughter of the Chief aka Niles Caulder, was introduced, around which the main plot of Doom Patrol Season 2 will revolve and which showrunner and producer Jeremy Carver spoke about saying that Dorothy will in effect be a new member of the team and as such will undermine the precarious balance due to his unpredictable powers and unstable condition. Her human side is tender but her powers are devastating and Niles will have to find a way to protect the world from Dorothy.
