Are Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver Coming Back? Nintendo has registered the trademarks
Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver could return to the market for Nintendo Switch, at least looking at the recent registration of their respective trademarks carried out by Nintendo just a few days ago, as regards the office in charge in Japan.

Obviously this may not to mean nothing specific, but a precautionary move of this type, regarding two titles released more than ten years ago on the Nintendo DS, seems to be rather suspicious and gives rise to rumors about a possible re-release of the games in question.

Known in Italy as Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the two titles were released in 2010 in our country on the Nintendo DS, as remakes of Pokémon Gold and Silver respectively.

Both chapters focus on the region of Johto, where the player's path starts, starting from Borgo Foglianova. The games include the story of Gold and Silver but also elements taken from the Crystal version.

The two trademarks were re-registered on 7 September 2020, with references to about 50 categories of various products and services, making the whole very confusing, as often happens when one looks at trademark management. It wouldn't even be surprising to see some reworking of the two chapters on Nintendo Switch, given the hold the series always has on the public, but it's still early to make any deductions from this information.
