Lovecraft Country - new trailer for the HBO Max series
HBO Max has released a new trailer for the Lovercraft Country series produced by JJ Abrams and Jordan Peele and created by Misha Green who is also a showrunner.

Lovecraft Country is inspired by the novel by Matt Ruff and will debut next 16 August on the HBO Max platform. The series will consist of 10 episodes and will arrive in Italy soon on Sky Atlantic.

Here is the new trailer:

Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Black, played by Jonathan Majors (From 5 Bloods), in search of his missing father, together with his uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) and to her friend Letitia "Leti" Dandrige - played by Jurnee Diana Smollett (Underground).

This will begin a frightening journey through the racist America of the Fifties, in which the protagonists will have to deal with the horrors of racial segregation and with mysterious and terrifying monsters that seem to come directly from the stories of HP Lovecraft.

Lovercraft Country is the first project produced by JJ Abrams and his production company Bad Robot after the exclusive agreement which binds them to Warner Bros. for which the same director and producer will develop the TV series Justice League Dark which will feature some of the characters from the mystical and horror side of DC and will also be broadcast on HBO Max.

Justice League Dark It is the third DC project developed for the HBO Max platform after the Green Lantern TV series and the Strange Adventures anthology series. We currently do not know details about the project or which characters will appear there: difficult the involvement of Wonder Woman while it would be interesting to understand if DC, Warner and Abrams want to take advantage of the Swamp Thing seen on the homonymous DC Universe series and especially the John Constantine played by Matt Ryan in 'Arrowverse.

The project was announced, postponed and then altered and passed between the other movies as in the hands of Guillermo Del Toro and Doug Liman.

Recently, JJ Abrams has directed the controversial Star Wars – The rise of Skywalker.
