Hamilton review. When a musical about history enters history
He lands on Disney + Hamilton: an American Musical, the hip-hop transposition of the life of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. The production, written and interpreted by Lin-Manuel Miranda, represents a real gem of modern musical theater and has won 11 Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for dramaturgy.

The musical it is in the original language with English subtitles; the Italian subtitles will also be added shortly, which, due to an early distribution 15 months before the expected release in theaters, have not yet been fully translated. In our review we will talk in depth about the show and its genesis: you could therefore come across some spoilers.

My name is Alexander Hamilton

Alexander Hamilton's life has been studded with events and successes. Born in Nevis, a British colony in the Caribbean, he moved to New York at a young age, where he joined the independence movements to then fight in the War of Independence reaching the rank of major general alongside George Washington, who will be a figure for him father. After the war, he contributed to founding the United States, participating in the drafting of the Constitution and its ratification by the American States through the writing of 81 essays called The Federalist Papers, written together with James Madison and John Jay.
