Amazon bans the purchase of non-US seeds
It all started with an event that had aroused some bewilderment, albeit without consequences: in recent months, thousands of US citizens have received small packages containing seeds at their home: no tickets, no indications, but above all no reasons for receiving a package that had never been ordered on any store. The origin was Chinese. The general invitation not to plant the seeds received was immediately taken, but this was motivated by nothing but fear.tThe investigations have never fully explained what happened, if not by tying the matter together to a possible scam. Even the analysis of the seeds did not reveal any problems: they were simple seeds, moreover apparently harmless in every respect. However, this has highlighted the apparent simplicity with which anyone has the ability to order seeds online, from any source. This makes it particularly simple, however, to plant plants from other sources, which could potentially create problems. There are countless reports of plants (and animals) that out of their natural context have created more than one problem, potentially becoming pests and harmful to other native crops.
