Nvidia Quadro RTX, the new Ampere cards will have 10752 CUDA cores
The new generation of Nvidia Quadro RTX based on Ampere is on the horizon and, according to what was leaked on the net recently, the video cards in question will have a higher computing power than that of an RTX 3090 with double the memory. However, there will be an important compromise to accept…

The popular Twitter profile of Moore's Law is Dead, has published a screenshot of the Nvidia Control Panel showing an Ampere graphics card not yet officially announced. It was the YouTuber himself who confirmed this is a graphics card from the Quadro family.

According to what can be seen in the screenshot, the GA102 GPU used should have 10752 CUDA cores and be flanked by 48GB of video memory type GDDR6. This means that the new Quadro in question will have 256 CUDA cores more than the just announced and already monstrously powerful GeForce RTX 3090 as well as double the VRAM memory.

Unfortunately the alleged Quadro RTX will not use memories GDDR6X type, presumably since Micron does not currently produce 16Gbit (2GB) memory modules of this type. The card will then feature a 384-bit memory interface with a bandwidth of 768GB / s, just 8GB / s more than the GeForce RTX 3080.

KittyCorgi, which many of you will probably remember from previous leaks regarding Ampere, has already shared some details on the Quadro A8000 in the past (one of the possible names for the card). He confirmed that the card would have 48GB of memory as early as July. The board could also be called Quadro 6000 claims kopite7kimi, another leaker.
