Fortnite: Dreamhack announces a monthly tournament for Epic Games' battle royale
Dreamhack organizers have announced that Fortnite will return to the event starting from July 17th.

The event dedicated to the battle royale Epic Games, obviously all online, will be broadcast on Twitch and will have a monthly prize pool of 250,000 dollars. Not only that, it seems that it will last until January 2021, therefore even six months.

Players in Europe and in the two US regions (North America East and North America West) will be able to participate, with the prize pool divided between these regions . Regional tournaments will be separated; however, players apparently will be able to compete in multiple regions.

Rather than a traditional "Invitational" system, qualifying will be held in Solo Mode and will feature two heats.

A total of 250 players per round will qualify for the semifinals, where the top 100 players will qualify for the finals.

During qualifying, each player will be allowed to play a maximum of 10 games in a span of three hours to try and accumulate as many points as possible and thus hope to return to the lucky ones.
