Pokémon, the cosplay of Nurse Joy from Panterona is macabre and deviant

Pokémon

Nurse Joy is a jovial and positive character who is always ready to help in the Pokémon series. The cosplay that our darling Panther made of is however slightly macabre and deviant, especially for poor Pikachu, who is one of the protagonists in spite of himself.

The Panther cosplay takes up the costume and hairstyle of the infirm Joy, but reinterprets the character in a decidedly gore key. Ours is therefore a bloodthirsty monster who did not hesitate to cook and devour poor Pikachu, in a riot of flesh and blood that seems straight out of one of Peter Jackson's films of the golden age. Who knows what Pokémon tastes like, especially the electric ones ...

Note that the following is not a photo, but a video. If you are easily impressionable, you better not look at her, because she is strong enough.

If you like cosplay, don't miss the Lumine cosplay by Shirogane-sama, the cosplay of the doll from mastiffwitha4, the cosplay of Tifa from Helly Valentine, the cosplay of Lara Croft from missbri, the cosplay of Ryu fighting with Blanka, Rey's cosplay by Kalinka Fox and Jessie's cosplay by milliganvick, just to report some of the latest ones.

‘Pokemon Go’ analysis: What to catch for the Halloween Mischief event

The second half of October will be more of a treat rather than a trick on players as Niantic marks its “Pokemon Go” Halloween Mischief event. Running from 10 a.m. Oct. 15 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31, players will catch creatures that go bump in the night.

The celebration happens in two phases. The first is titled “Creepy Companions” and marks the debut of Galarian Slowking and shiny Spinarak. It also introduces new costumed Pokemon such as Pikachu, Piplup and Drifblim. They all wear new hats, which is disappointing compared last year’s editions.

WHAT TO CATCH FOR PART 1When it comes to what to catch, the obvious targets are the costumed Pokemon because all of them can be shiny. They’ll be a must-have for collectors because of their potential rarity. Shiny Spinarak will be the prize of the event. Its variant colors are powder blue and its evolution, Ariados, sports that same hue as a trim along with a purple body. It will be a shiny that pops on the screen though it may not be as useful as other creatures.

Galarian SlowkingGalarian Slowking makes it debut in “Pokemon Go’ this month. (Niantic)

Meanwhile, the Galarian Slowking looks cool (It has a Cobra Commander-type vibe.). Unfortunately, it likely won’t have a big role in raids or in Go Battle League. It has a notable poison- and psychic-type typing, but it’s held back by its Fast Moves. Still, it will be good to evolve one or two for a Pokedex entry. Players can get a Galarian Slowpoke to evolve into a Galarian Slowking via a one-star raid during the event.

The other big prize for the event is a Yamask. This Pokemon began as a quest reward, but over the years, it has been easier to catch as Niantic has made it more available. The big issue is that Yamask and its Galarian version seem to only come out during Halloween. With its evolved form Cofagrigus gaining Shadow Claw recently, this Pokemon jumped to in the PvP meta.

Add to the fact that Yamask can also be shiny, and this Pokemon soars to the top of the list of most sought-after for the event. Unfortunately, Yamask won’t be available widely. It will be the rare encounter for the event.

As for the other pocket monsters in the wild, I would try hard for Zubat, Drowzee, Gastly, Misdreavus, Shuppet and Woobat. All of these Pokemon will have their shiny variants available. I’d pay special attention to Gastly and Drowzee because they have their uses in Go Battle League and raids in some cases. Stunky and Gothita will also appear but they can’t be shiny.

RAID SITUATIONWhen it comes to raids, I’d put most of my passes to Altered Forme Giratina. The Pokemon is a beast in Ultra and Master leagues. It can be shiny and at the very least, the Candy XL generated will be helpful powering up the Renegade Pokemon to level 50. As for the other raids, if players are missing a shiny Alolan Raichu or Sableye, it would be worth doing the raids to try to get one. I’d take the same approach for Murkrow and Yamask, which are also in one-star raids and can be shiny. If a player already has enough Giratina candy, I would focus on Yamask raids because that’s a rare shiny Pokemon to have.

If players are looking for Galarian Yamasks, they can find them in 7km eggs or through Field Research tasks. The Pokemon made its debut last year through a special quest and players only caught one. Now, they seem to be more widespread for the event. I would make an effort to collect 7km eggs in the slim hopes of hatching a shiny Spinarak, Misdreavus or Shuppet. Of course, players also have a chance of getting a Chingling, Litwick or Golett as well.

For those looking for other hard-to-find shiny variants, the field research tasks are another way to go. Costumed Pikachu, Piplup and Drifblim will be available in quests. In addition, players will also have a chance at Zubat, Drowzee, Spinarak and Woobat. All can be shiny. Gothita is task reward players don’t want while Galarian Yamask is a decent consolation prize because of its rarity. On a side not, players should look out for Catch 18 Ghost-type Pokemon or 18 Dark-type Pokemoon quests this month. These are rare and it gives players a chance at another Halloween-themed Pokemon — Spiritomb. Best of all, it can also be shiny. With so many Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon around for this event, this will be easier to complete than earlier this month.

PART 2 — GHOULISH PALSThe second part of the Halloween Mischief event is called Ghoulish Pals and runs from 10 a.m. Oct. 22 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. This is the more exciting of the two phases because players will find plenty of new Pokemon making their debut. The foremost are Phantump and Pumpkaboo which are a pair of dual ghost-types. Both will have an impact on Go Battle League because of their stats and move sets.

Phantump and its evolution, Trevenant , will change the meta in certain leagues. It has surprisingly strong stats and a great move set, which includes Shadow Claw as a Fast Move and Shadow Ball, Seed Bomb and Foul Play as Charge Moves. It can counter some of the strong Water- and Psychic-types in Great League.

Meanwhile, Gourgeist, the evolution of Pumpkaboo, has the potential to be equally as meta changing in certain leagues. It has good, not great, Fast Moves with Razer Leaf and Hex and a wider variety of Charge Moves with Seed Bomb, Shadow Ball, Fire Blast and Foul Play. Both Pokemon will fill a niche in competitive play as counters to Pokemon such as Jellicent, Swampert and Driflbim.

Coinciding with the release of these Pokemon, Niantic is introducing a new size mechanic that impacts the look of Pumpkaboo. This Kalos pocket monster will come in four sizes and that impacts the cosmetics of them.

The other big debut is Mega Absol. The Disaster Pokemon has a Pegasus look with white wings and more horns. As a pure Dark type, it will be effective in raids against Ghosts and Psychics. It’s a bit of a glass cannon but could be worthwhile if players are short on allies. Best of all, Absols caught during Mega Raids can be shiny. This is one of the best Megas to come in a while.

POKEMON IN THE WILDThe second event’s wild encounters aren’t as diverse as the previous one. Players will have a chance to encounter costumed Pikachu and Piplup but they’ll also have a chance to catch Gastly (shiny available), Murkrow (shiny available), Misdreavus (shiny available), Shuppet (shiny available), Purloin, Phantump and up to the average size Pumpkaboo. The rare spawns for this event are Haunter, Yamask (shiny available), Litwick and the larger sizes of Pumpkaboo.

Out of this lineup, I’d focus on grabbing the rare shinies such as Murkow, Misdreavus and Shuppet. Yamask will be the biggest prize along with Phantump and Pumpkaboo with good individual values for Great and Ultra leagues.

As for raids, players should go for Darkrai, which will be the five-star raid this go-around. Although it’s been supplanted by Yveltal as the best Dark-type in the game, it still has its uses and it can be shiny. Plus, it will have the move Sludge Bomb, which doesn’t make drastically better. Players will want Focus Blast and Dark Pulse as its Charge Moves. The only other raids I’d go for are ones with potential shinies. I would prioritize Yamask, Murkow and Alolan Marowak if players have no interest in Darkrai.

Pokemon Go HalloweenNew stickers will be available for the “Pokemon Go” Halloween Mischief event. (Niantic)

OTHER ACTIVITIES OF NOTEThe egg situation is slightly better than part 1. The big difference is that Phantump replaces Chingling, which is a big improvement. As for Event Field Research tasks, they’re not as good when it comes to the possibility of getting a rare shiny but the fact that players can earn an encounter with both Yamask types is nothing to sneeze at.

Along with the Halloween Mischief celebration, players will find two chapters in the Season of Mischief Special Research story that has been slowly taking place over the past few weeks. In addition, Niantic is offering a Collection Challenge during the Ghouhlish Pals section. For completionists, don’t forget to finish it before it ends Oct. 31.

As expected, the event bonuses are candy focused. You could call them a treat I suppose. They’re great if you need space to collect Pokemon. Players will get double transfer candy, double hatch candy and double catch candy. In addition, players are guaranteed to get Candy XL when walking their buddies. For players looking to power up their Pokemon for Ultra and Master league, this event will be important.

Lastly, players can expect to find new avatar items to help trainers get in the swing of spooky season. They’ll also find Halloween-themed stickers. Lastly, players will finally see new bundles in the store. The Boo Bundle has 16 Premium Raid Passes, eight Super Incubators, four Incense and four Star Pieces for 1,480 PokeCoins. For the same price, they can also buy the Pumpkin Pack, which has 18 Super Incubators, two Incubators, four Incense and four Star Pieces.

Both are better values compared to the current boxes. If players are into hatching eggs, the Pumpkin Pack is great. If players want a good mix, the Boo Bundle is solid. What helps the value is that Niantic doesn’t include Ultra Balls in the mix. I would hold off on spending money on the current boxes until the new ones come along.
