DC announces the Peacemaker series by Garth Ennis and Garry Brown
DC has just announced that Garth Ennis and Garry Brown respectively will be the screenwriter and the artist of Peacemaker: Disturbing The Peace, the new miniseries starring the controversial vigilante that John Cena played in James Gunn's film. The first issue of the series is scheduled for January 2022, and, according to a first hint of the plot, will see the character face a path of psychiatric therapy, reliving some particularly traumatic moments of his childhood.DC is therefore focusing a lot. on Peacemaker, whose moral deviation will be told by the writer of The Boys and Preacher, as well as a cycle of stories about the Punisher for Marvel, and drawn by the same artist of DC Horror presents The Conjuring: The Lover. The two authors will start from a point in Christopher Smith's past, before he joined Task Force X, in which he was being treated by a psychiatrist who was particularly attracted to his patient's violent past. Going from the terrible suicide experience of both her parents, to the service for the war in Vietnam and the operations with the Special Forces, the psychiatrist will be faced with several secrets and traumas that made Christopher Smith Peacemaker.
