Pokemon Sword and Shield: the video on Armor Island reveals the release date of the DLC

After promising news on the expansions of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Game Freak keeps the word given by publishing a video a new video on Armor Island that shows unpublished gameplay scenes and finally reveals its launch date on Nintendo Switch.

From the pages of the Pokémon Company YouTube channel, the Japanese authors have reopened a window on the colorful dimension of Sword and Shield to immerse ourselves in the atmospheres of Armor Island, the first of the two environments that we will be able to explore with the Expansion Pass of the blockbuster Switch.

Armor Island will see users train in a new dojo to further hone their skills in Pokémon battles: the pivot around which the DLC's playful and narrative experience will gravitate will be Mustard, the master who will give our Trainer the opportunity to receive the legendary Pokémon Kubfu.

As shown in the new gameplay video, once Kubfu is obtained players will have to deal with the difficult challenges offered by the Two Fists Towers to conquer each level and thus be able to evolve Kubfu into Urshifu. At this point we just have to inform you that the Armor Island of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass will be available starting June 17, slightly earlier than the launch period indicated above by Game Freak for a generic "end of June" . As for the second DLC of the expansion pack, its arrival was and continues to be expected for "late 2020", presumably during the autumn.
