PlayStation Plus July 2020: predictions and speculations on free games for PS4

We are halfway through the month, and if you follow us regularly you know what it means. The time has come to launch into forecasts and speculations on the Free Games for PlayStation Plus of July 2020! And don't say we never guess, because it happens from time to time ...

In the last few months Sony has proved incredibly generous with its intellectual properties. In a short span of time, The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Uncharted 4 End of a Thief and Shadow of the Colossus arrived. The fourth chapter of Drake's adventures has arrived in PlayStation Plus after a period of availability in PlayStation Now, so, in the sign of continuity, we believe that the time has finally come for Uncharted The Lost Legacy. The latter also recently left the PlayStation Now catalog, and the jump in the Plus is highly likely. The same dynamic could also lead to the Horizon Zero Dawn in the Instant Game Collection, which among other things could represent an excellent opportunity to introduce Aloy to many other players in view of Horizon Forbidden West for PS5, fresh from the announcement.

Given the prolonged wait for Watch Dogs Legion, it would not be a bad idea if Sony agreed with Ubisoft to give subscribers a title like Watch Dogs 2. We also do not feel like discarding the Grand Theft Auto 5 hypothesis: the immortal free roaming of Rockstar Games in recent months has made a detour both in PlayStation Now and in Xbox Game Pass, services in which it is no longer available. A jump in the Plus seems likely, especially in a period like this in which Sony and Rockstar seem to get along very well and a promotion has been activated for GTA Online players with PlayStation Plus ...

As always, you are all invited to have your say in the comments. The announcement of the free games in June 2020, will be made on Wednesday 1st July, with a publication scheduled for Tuesday, July 8 (unless Sony decides to overturn again the plans). In the meantime, you can continue to download Call of Duty WWI, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 .
