Electronic Arts has announced a series of news for the Need for Speed ​​franchise, starting with the Cross Play support for Need for Speed ​​Heat, an episode of the series published last November on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

From June 9 Need for Speed ​​Heat will officially become the first Electronic Arts game with Cross Play support allowing owners of the PS4, PC and Xbox One versions to play with each other without any barrier and without limitation. Cross-Play will debut as part of a full-bodied free update that will mark the end of post-launch support for Need for Speed ​​Heat, a game that will become part of the EA Access and EA Origin Access vault from June 16th.

EA then confirms the arrival on Steam of Need for Speed ​​(2016) and Need for Speed ​​Rivals, also the publisher announces that at the EA Play event on June 19 there will be other announcements on Need for Speed ​​and Steam. Meanwhile, Criterion is working on the new Need for Speed ​​game in the series with the aim of creating a high quality racing game with a unique style.
