Meet, integration into Gmail on Android and iOS

As already done for the desktop edition of the service, Google Meet also debuts today in the mobile applications of Gmail. The rollout affecting Android and iOS has already started: it will take about two weeks to progressively reach all users.

Google Meet in Gmail mobile apps The feature will allow you to join a meeting on Meet simply by selecting the invitation link received in the e-mail box, without complex steps and without having to type any access code. The dynamic is that well shown by the animation below.

In the same way a new tab inserted in the interface of the Gmail application will allow you to see the scheduled meetings in the calendar and to join them with a single touch or to enter the code received to participate.

The card can be hidden, if desired, by acting on one of the settings of the app (your as it happens on desktop).

It is yet another initiative put in place by bigG to push more and more the use of Meet, which in the last few months has registered a strong growth linked primarily the obligation to use this type of tools to work in smart working mode, to study with distance teaching tools and to communicate remotely with friends, family and relatives.

We remind you that since the beginning of May the service is gr activated for everyone, even for those who do not have a paid G Suite account.
