Batwoman: a new heroine for Season 2?

Batwoman: a new heroine for Season 2?

In the past few hours an incredible rumor has emerged regarding the future of Batwoman, the latest addition to the DC television series belonging to Arrowverse of the The CW channel, which as we well know has lost its protagonist Ruby Rose in a defined consensual termination of the contract - click HERE for all the details of the story.

This voice would like the CW channel to no longer seek an actress who plays Kate Kane in the second season but the interpreter for a new character - generally referred to as "Ryan Wilder" - to take the place of Kate Kane wearing the role of Batwoman!

This is the description for the casting of the new protagonist:

She is nice, messy, a little awkward and indomitable. It does not look like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the costume before her. Without anyone caring about her, Ryan spent years as an addict, fleeing GCPD and masking his pain with bad habits. A girl who would steal milk for a cat in the alley could also kill you with her bare hands: Ryan is the most dangerous, highly skilled and wildly unruly type of fighter. Homosexual declared. Athletic. Tough. Passionate. Prone to error. And certainly not the all-American stereotypical hero.

A description that takes up the main features of the original character but also seems to depart from it for some main character characteristics. While still to be confirmed, this rumor obviously also opens several questions about Kate Kane's exit from the scene - remember that the First Season, which ended after 20 episodes out of the 23 scheduled due to the health emergency caused by the Coronavirus epidemic that blocked the production of the series - both on the already announced crossover next year which will involve Batwoman and the new Superman & Lois also connected to the season finale.

Batwoman is currently airing, in Italian, on Mediaset Premium.
