3:51 pm Update: Available only console with player and in bundle!

PlayStation 5 is back on sale from GameStop! We would like to point out that also this week the popular video game portal will make available a round of consoles, with a sale that - as always - will open starting at 15:30!

The rules are now well known but, for For the record, we remind you that PlayStation 5 will be sold with particular conditions of access to the sale, and that it will not be a "free" purchase, since before accessing the purchase page to be able to put PlayStation 5 in the cart, it will first be necessary to pass through a digital "waiting room", which will open at approximately 3.15pm.

Having clarified this, we would like to point out that, as for last week, GameStop has decided to make the consoles available through 2 customizable bundles that require a minimum purchase of products to receive the console. To buy PlayStation 5, therefore, you will have to put the console in the cart along with other products that include digital subscriptions to the PlayStation Store, various types of Funko Pop, accessories (including DualSense pads, of course) or games, with a limit of one per category.

Specifically, in order to buy PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and PlayStation 5 with disc player, you will have to purchase a minimum of tot products, even if we have not been informed if this minimum is 4, 5 or 6 products, which we will only discover when we can actually have access to the sale from the portal. What we can tell you is that, if the sales formula is similar or identical to that of the past few weeks, it will be necessary to purchase "only one product per category" we mean that, at least in the last sales rounds, it was not possible, for example, to put the console in the cart together with 4 Funko Pops (i.e. those that are certainly the least expensive products of the offer), thus asking the user that the cart actually contained all products diversified between the proposed categories. For this reason, it is also impossible for us to tell you what the minimum price you will have to spend for the purchase of a bundle might be, since it will depend on the products you place in your cart.

Having said that, we just have to wish you the best of luck with your purchase, in the hope that you will be able to get your hands on the console along with the games or accessories you want most. In fact, there is no need to remind you that the stocks of PlayStation 5 in the world are still in a disastrous situation, caused by the persistent shortage of components caused by COVID-19 which, as you know, could prevent the console from establishing solidly on the market not before 2022!

PS5 bundles back in stock today, but likely not for long

If you’re looking for a PlayStation 5, there’s a chance you might be able to get one today. The console has returned to GameStop, but as is usually the case, GameStop is only offering the PS5 in bundles that run quite a bit more than the console itself. The good news is that there are a couple of different bundles in stock right now, possibly bettering your chances of snagging one.

That is assuming that you’re okay with paying a couple hundred dollars more than you normally would. There are two bundles to pick from today, and they both include two DualSense controllers, the console itself (the disc-based standard PS5), a copy of Returnal, a $20 GameStop gift card, and a copy of MLB The Show 21. The only difference between the two bundles is that one includes the Jackie Robinson Edition of MLB The Show 21, while the other includes the standard edition.

The bundle that includes the standard edition of MLB The Show 21 runs $729.99, while the bundle touting the Jackie Robinson Edition will cost $20 more – $749.99. We’ve broken down the cost of these console bundles in the past and have found that while they are expensive, they’re fairly priced based on what you’re getting.

The question, of course, is whether or not you’re okay with all the extras. It’s an important one too, because GameStop doesn’t allow you to return portions of the bundle – you need to return everything was included in the bundle in order to get any kind of refund. This is GameStop’s way of dissuading scalpers from snatching up as much stock as they can.

There’s no telling how long these consoles will remain in stock, but we’re guessing they’re going to go quickly. At the time of this writing, GameStop’s website is still showing both bundles in stock, so if you’re going to try to get one, good luck to you.
