Metal Hellsinger: the demonic shooter shows up at the Summer of Gaming

During the first day of the IGN Summer of Gaming, the leaders of Funcom officially presented Metal Hellsinger, a new infernal-setting rail shooter for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X.

Metal Hellsinger's project is under development at the digital forges of the The Outsiders team and will see the light in the next year, with a launch that will take place concurrently between the PC and console versions, both of this and the next generation.

Taking care of this project is David Goldfarb, the expert director of PayDay 2 and chief developer of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2. The narrative canvas laid out by the authors led by Goldfarb will see us fight in the role of the Unknown, a partly human and partly demon creature who, obsessed with revenge, will be called to destroy hordes of demons before clashing with being called the Red Judge.

Each level will be accompanied by a a song, and this will be the element on which The Outsiders will build the playful experience: the songs will in fact mark the rhythm of the brutal gunfights and gunfire to be played by interpreting the Unknown. Take a look at the images and the presentation video and tell us what you think of this work destined to arrive on PC and console in 2021. During the IGN Summer of Gaming the arrival of Chivarly 2 on consoles was also announced.
