In early 2021, Bethesda announced it was working on an Indiana Jones video game. The new IP, of which very little is known, however, seemed a long way off. The developer in charge, in fact, is MachineGames, which has equipped itself with a new artist who previously worked at Arkane Lyon for Deathloop. However, the artist's work seems to have ended and with the release of the next exclusive PlayStation 5 storm that is approaching (it will arrive in November), now the new videogame incarnation of the most famous archaeologist in the history of pop culture has finally entered production. .To reveal it is the curriculum of an artist, Rik Nieuwdrop. The developer has updated his LinkedIn profile, specifying that from March 2021 he began working as a Lighting Artist on the new Indiana Jones video game. "The details come later", he specified, a sign that obviously at the moment he can not share absolutely anything of his work and considering that neither Bethesda nor MachineGames have returned to the subject it is very likely that everything is under a classic NDA, or a nondisclosure agreement.
An interesting detail concerns the collaboration between MachineGames and Arkane Lyon. In fact, the two studios collaborated together for Deathloop. It is therefore almost natural that the artist moved on to work on the new Indiana Jones video game. And it is obviously not excluded that as soon as the exclusive PlayStation 5 is released, Arkane will not decide to lend a hand to the team that is working on the new videogame adventure of the franchise created by George Lucas. At the moment these are only speculations but knowing Bethesda's ambitions regarding the title, which has Todd Howard as director, nothing is to be excluded.

We know very little about the new Indiana Jones game. The teaser trailer released at the beginning of the year revealed the possible setting, which could be all Italian. The clues in the trailer, in fact, lead everyone to Rome. Unfortunately we are quite sure that it will take some time before we discover the true nature of the title, even if it is not excluded that a teaser trailer may show itself at E3 2021, perhaps on the stage of the Microsoft conference, which in this case should act as a distributor / publisher of the game with the acquisition of Bethesda. ‘Indiana Jones 5’: Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson Join Harrison Ford In Next Installment

EXCLUSIVE: Boyd Holbrook and The Resident alum Shaunette Renée Wilson are set to co-star opposite Harrison Ford in the next installment in the Indiana Jones series at Disney and Lucasfilm. Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen are also on board. James Mangold is taking over directing reins from Steven Spielberg, who still is serving as a producer and is very much involved in various elements of the film. Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel will join Spielberg as producers. John Williams, who has worked on every score in the 40-year-old franchise including its iconic theme, also will return as composer.
The hope is to start production this summer, with Mangold meeting with other talent for other roles in preparation for production. Plot details are still vague on what new adventure awaits Jones, as are details behind who Holbrook and Wilson will play. The film is set to bow on July 29, 2022.
Holbrook, who first broke out as the star of the first two seasons of Narcos, can add this to his growing list of tentpoles he’s been in as of late. Following Narcos, he landed the villain role opposite Hugh Jackman in Logan and then starred in 20th Century’s reboot The Predator. He recently starred in the Sundance hit Eight To Silver and recently wrapped filming on the highly anticipated Sandman series at Netflix. He is repped byRange Management, CAA, Morris Yorn Barnes Levine Krintzman Rubenstein Kohner & Gellman.
Wilson is best known as one of the leads on the Fox medical drama The Resident and also recently appeared in Showtime’s Billions. Her other credits include Black Panther and Into the Dark: Treehouse. She is repped by CAA, Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Fox Rothschild.
