Dragon Ball Super: will the anime on TV return with the new film?

Dragon Ball Super

The situation for what concerns the Dragon Ball Super anime is certainly very hot and it all began with the announcement in the last days of a new animated film for the brand of the same name that will be released in 2022 with the central production of Akira Toriyama. (in this article we report everything we know at the moment).

Dragon Ball Super, in addition to passing in theaters, was also an animated series broadcast on television from 2015 to 2018 and fans have actually wondered when it might come back.

At the moment there are no rumors about it, but a new interview with a Toei Animation animator, Florence, has been published on the new Dragon Ball website (you can reach it here) Jay Dominguito, who stated (English translation by @ Cipher_db on Twitter) that he would be very happy if in the future there is a new anime TV series that can continue to narrate the events of Dragon Ba The Super.

Clearly this does not confirm the arrival of a new series after the second animated film, but it gave some thought since these statements come from a Toei Animation employee a few days ago after the announcement of the film. Recall that there had been no rumors about a sequel on television after the anime ended.

Coincidences? Certainly yes, but it is also correct to ask questions. When we know more it will be our pleasure to update you.

We remind you that Dragon Ball Super will return to the cinema in 2022 with a new animated film (it will be the 21st considering the previous productions).
