Ryzen 9 5950X at over 6,350MHz? New world record set!
As you surely already know, AMD recently launched its new Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 series processors, and the overclockers immediately got to work to set the first records.

The current world record has been set no less. than with Gigabyte's top-of-the-range Ryzen 9 5950X from HiCookie, which achieved an incredible 6,362 MHz frequency on all sixteen cores, obviously using liquid nitrogen for cooling.

Most impressive is that overclocking was also stable enough to hold up to running Cinebench R20, where it scored 15,517.

However, in terms of pure performance, thanks to six more cores and an improved IPC, AMD's 5950X manages to offer higher performance. In fact, by default the Intel i9-10900K achieves a Cinebench R20 score of 6,375 points, while its world record was set by Splave with an i9-10900KF, registering 9,108 points.

Overclocking the 5950X it was achieved using a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master motherboard and a chip voltage of 1,692V. The system was completed by a single 16GB Corsair DDR4 memory module, as well as an AMD Radeon RX 5700 graphics card.

However, it is important to note that, at this time, only four registrations have been entered into the HwBot database using Ryzen 9 5950X. This leaves plenty of room for other overclockers to hit a new record over the next few weeks as well.

Gigabyte recently expanded its BRIX Pro mini-PC range with two new models, GB-BSRE-1505 and GB-BSRE-1605, equipped with AMD's Ryzen Embedded processors. The new units are similar in size to their Intel Tiger Lake CPU-equipped counterparts, measuring 196.2 × 44.4 × 140mm.
