BMW M3: production of the sports sedan started, deliveries by March
The new BMW M3 has officially entered production. The high-performance sedan will be built at the production plant in Munich, the same that houses the assembly line for the entire 3 Series range. It is a very sophisticated system that ensures the possibility of producing every version of the 3 Series on the same production line.

Sedan, Station Wagon in the variants with petrol and diesel engines and even plug-in hybrid. The BMW executives expressed great satisfaction at being able to implement the entire range of engines for a single model in a single plant: without too much effort it is possible to assemble a sedan, a petrol or diesel or hybrid station wagon.

An efficient plant

The Munich plant has been adapted to the assembly requirements of the new BMW 3 Series, a strategic model for the brand. New spaces have been added to the assembly lines for M seats with carbon fiber shells; moreover, other elements are made and assembled by hand by BMW craftsmen.

It is a truly unique attention and attention to detail for the segment that makes the BMW M3 a very desirable product from part of enthusiasts. The big news of this latest generation is the presence in the range of an M touring version: this is the first high-performance station wagon produced by BMW.

Coming in 2021

The new BMW M3 sedan is expected to arrive in dealerships in March 2021. Under the bonnet there is an exuberant 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder available in two power declinations. The "base" model is strong with 473 Hp and 550 Nm of maximum torque; the Competition version is more aggressive: 503 Hp and 650 Nm of maximum torque.

BMW offers a detail of absolute value: the new M3 can be equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox, available only for versions with rear-wheel drive. The other solutions include an 8-speed M Steptronic double-clutch automatic transmission and M xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, which is expected to arrive in summer 2021.
