Sword Art Online: Project Alicization is part of the narrative arc of Sword Art Online: Alicization, whose light novel is still being published for J-POP:

«Where… me I find?"

Once awakened, Kirito sees around him a forest of gigantic trees…

Has he ended up in a virtual fantasy world?

Wandering around looking for some clues, he meets a boy. «My name is Eugeo. Very pleased, Kirito. "

The boy, who is an inhabitant of that world, that is an NPC, is in possession of a great variety of emotions, identical to the human ones.

As their friendship deepens, memories of the past resurface in Kirito's mind, dating back to when he was a child and went around the countryside with Eugeo and there was another one with them person: a girl with long golden hair. Her name was Alice.

That name had to be important and he shouldn't have forgotten it…
